The need of our Christian life today is to enjoy Christ. This enjoyment of Christ is based on our experience of the Lord which in turn also depends on our knowing of Him. Our knowing of Christ should be followed by our experiencing of Christ. This experience will bring in the enjoyment of Christ which will issue in the expression of Christ.
Giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you for a share of the allotted portion of the saints in the light; (Colossians 1:12, RecVer)In order that the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. (Galatians 3:14, RecVer)
Today, God our Father has qualified us for a share of the allotted portion of the saints, the all-inclusive Christ, which is the blessing of Abraham, the promise of the Spirit, who is the life-giving Spirit in our spirit! This is the riches of the good land promised in Deuteronomy 8:7-10, who is also the unsearchable riches of Christ as in Ephesians 3:8, as our bountiful supply in Philippians 1:19. This enjoyment of Christ is for the building up of the Body of Christ. For the practicality of enjoyment, our spirits must be exercised and must also be released.
God’s calling of us is for the enjoyment of Christ. As the children of Israel were called out of Egypt, delivered not only out of Egypt from slavery into the wilderness as mere freedom from Egypt, but to enter into the good land for the enjoyment of the unsearchable riches of the all-inclusive Christ as the good land!
Our enjoyment of Christ by eating God’s word as milk and honey, the eating of Christ as the richest grace and sweetest love, will constitute us with Christ. Then, we can choose good and minister these riches of Christ to others for the corporate building up of the Body of Christ.
He will eat curds and honey until he knows how to refuse evil and choose good. (Isaiah 7:15, RecVer)Your lips drip fresh honey, my bride; Honey and milk are under your tongue; And the fragrance of your garments is like the fragrance of Lebanon. (Song of Solomon 4:11, RecVer)
Therefore, the practical way to enjoy Christ is to walk in Him who is our alloted portion and on whom we have been rooted. We walk in Him by taking time to absord Him as the rich soil of the good land.
As therefore you have received the Christ, Jesus the Lord, walk in Him, Having been rooted and being built up in Him, and being established in the faith even as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving. (Colossians 2:6-7, RecVer)
In the soil, weeds, rocks and many hindrances in our inward being must be dealt with day by day. Then, absorb the riches over a long period of gathering with much inward activity with careful storage.
The end of the matter is, take time to absorb Christ to experience, enjoy, and express Christ!
