Late in the afternoon, a Christian leaders' meeting was arranged. Initially, I was not too sure what to minister, but as I considered before the Lord, the Lord gave me the burden to minister on the need for help in understanding the word of God. Therefore, Acts 8 on the Eunuch's salvation through Philip's help in making him understand the word of the Prophets was shared.
And he rose up and went. And behold, an Ethiopian man, a eunuch, a man in power under Candace, queen of the Ethiopians, who was over all her treasure, had come to Jerusalem to worship. And he was returning and was sitting in his chariot and reading the prophet Isaiah. And the Spirit said to Philip, Approach and join this chariot. And when Philip ran up, he heard him reading Isaiah the prophet and said, Do you really know the things that you are reading? And he said, How could I unless someone guides me? And he entreated Philip to come up and sit with him. (Acts 8:27-31, RecVer)And the eunuch answered Philip and said, I beseech you, Concerning whom does the prophet say this? Concerning himself or concerning someone else? And Philip opened his mouth, and beginning from this Scripture he announced Jesus as the gospel to him. And as they were going along the road, they came upon some water, and the eunuch said, Look, water. What prevents me from being baptized? And Philip said, If you believe from all your heart, you will be saved. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And he ordered the chariot to stand still, and they both went down into the water, Philip and the eunuch, and he baptized him. (Acts 8:34-38, RecVer)And they said to one another, Was not our heart burning within us while He was speaking to us on the road, while He was opening to us the Scriptures? (Luke 24:32, RecVer)
This was such an eye-opener to the "Pastors" that they all queued up to purchase the ministry books, especially the Telugu Recovery Version New Testament, after the meeting. Through this meeting, a young, promising brother who purchased the ministry books was introduced to the local brothers for follow-up.
The Lord’s speaking was so timely that I myself received a sweet inner supply even though I was the one who ministered the word. Later, the brothers testified that they also received timely help concerning the need for the Lord to open up the word. The ministry books used by the Spirit opened up the Scriptures to the readers. What a blessed ministry the Lord bless us with!
We also attended the gathering of believers and Christian leaders in Vempalli. Since this was just a meeting of a group, we were only given a few minutes to introduce the Recovery Version Bible. The key leader had an opinion about the new translation, however, some of the key leaders still purchased the Telugu New Testament Recovery Version.
May the Lord raise up His testimony in Mydukuru and Vempalli one day.
