Prayer for the Lord's Move

Prayer has been an important subject in a Christian life and church life. Today I am freshly supplied with the Lord’s timely speaking again with a view of the Lord’s move in the Body and the significance of prayer. I am convicted of my need to strengthen my prayer life.

The first group of Christians in the early days served the Lord by means of prayer. Beginning from Acts 1 and throughout the book in 2, 3, 6, 7, 10, 11 and to the end, was filled with the apostles and the disciples praying and carrying out the the Lord’s move. Be it for migration, gospel preaching, raising up churches, shepherding, all have their source in prayer, even with fasting in coordination. The base to serve the Lord is prayer.

In every case all the different serving ones took only one way, and that was the way of prayer; every part of their service, every bit of their work for the Lord, was initiated by prayer; their way was absolutely different from the way of the religious organizations today. Prayer is the key for the Lord’s move. All practical matters must be carried out point by point by prayer. There is no other way. Where to go, how to go, when to go, all must be done by prayer. Not merely an hour or so, but even days, weeks, and perhaps, months and years until the Lord’s leading is crystal clear.

Even in the practical services of the church life there must be full of prayer. Before the services, while in the services, and even after the services, prayer is a must. Not only individual prayer but prayer in coordination. Do not do anything without prayer. Brother Witness Lee's testimony was that he and two other coworkers knelt down and prayed from 8 am to 12 noon everyday for three weeks for the Lord’s move in America. This was the main driving force for the Lord’s move and the spread of the Lord’s recovery in USA. Now apply that to India, to bring the right people for His spread in India, is only by prayer.

Even in a pandemic situation, prayer must be intensified, on a regular basis. There will be significant changes in the situation of the saints in the churches only if we pray. The care for the saints is also a matter of prayer. Persevere in prayer for the Lord’s move. The blessings of God wherever we serve, whatever we serve, can be brought in only by prayer.

I can testify to the Lord’s speaking how the Lord led me in my service, personal and family matters, and the church that I have been serving in coordination with the other brothers, are all through prayer. Even now, I am still praying for a definite breakthrough in my personal life in some aspects that I can fully release the Lord’s burden in my service. And also are praying for the full salvation of my entire family,  my entire village Keikhu in Imphal, the salvation of the entire Zeliangrong tribe, many of them are still in darkness, for a definite increase in the number of the saints meeting in the church I serve, the Lord’s continual blessing for the service I am involved in. I am also praying for my parents both in India and Taiwan that the Lord would give them good health and long life with peace and joy in the Holy Spirit with the spirit and ministry of prayer. Besides, I also pray for many great leaders and personalities in India and abroad that they may be saved. All these are out of burden from the Lord and I believe one day, the Lord will answer all these prayers one by one at His time. Once again, all these prayers are for the Lord’s move. I must treasure the burden the Lord blessed me with and be faithful to pray and pray for the Lord’s move.

Lord, make me a man of prayer, make my family a family of prayer, make my house a house of prayer, and make the church I in the church of prayer.
