Friends Visitation

Thirteen years have elapsed since I last met one of my classmates in MCC. I vividly remember the day I went to his house when I was still a student. He is a Brahmin Hindu by religion acquired by birth. If the time we lived in was a pre-modern age, I would probably be not welcomed at all. Yet our being friend-and-classmate took that restriction away. As I visited him then, my main burden, as with all the rest of the classmates, was to testify of the greatest love God has gifted to mankind by giving His own Son Jesus Christ. I did release my burden in sharing my own personal testimony of salvation in the name of Jesus Christ and left the rest to God who desires all man to be saved and to come to the full knowledge of the truth.

Thirteen years after we meet again last week. The burden within me did not change. This time I met him again, though more of a reunion and mending the long years of gap. Thereby, laying yet another foundation for the gospel. And this also was with a burden to prepare the other classmates as well when the Lord would grace the opportunity to testify of the Saviour Jesus Christ. I posted our reunion snapshot to our ex-classmates' WhatsApp group which was flooded with comments moment after the post. One day, the Lord will open the door for all of them to be saved.

Besides, I also visited one of my dearest friend, now a brother, my classmate's family and stayed for a day. Though my burden was to minister the truth to his parent and family, yet the Lord's timing has not yet, I guess. Instead I simply maintain the status quo of being the friend of the family's son. My classmate and I have been praying for the entire family that the Lord would grace them to come to the full knowledge of the truth.

My prayer and burden for the salvation of my friends and their relatives will one day be fulfilled. In hope and also in faith, I look forward to that day. Lord, hasten that day of salvation!
