Ministry Literature Journey to Patiala

I have heard about this city in the past. But this was the first time I came to visit this city. Here, we had a unique experience with a brother who volunteered to take care of our hospitality. From this city, two of our brothers in the team had to go back earlier. So, on the last day, only two of us completed the distribution trip this time in this city.

A young brother, our host, was so natural in the way he behave and spoke with us. He was full of anxiety as he had been through a tough financial difficulties. He did not hesitate to directly mention his financial needs to the extend that he acted like a "coercive beggar" for financial help. I did not have a good feeling about him at all. Yet with the hope that he could be helped through our fellowship, I fellowshipped with him twice, face to face with testimonies of my own in trusting the Lord for all our needs.

Due to his insistence for where we should stay and his frequent reference to his financial difficulties, we did not feel good to even stay in his house for the night stay. Therefore, about midnight, we shifted to a hotel. The next day morning too, I was not so keen if he should be with us. However, I opened myself and gave myself to the Lord’s sovereignty and waited for how He would lead for the day.

This young brother came to lead us to visit the only Bible seminary in the city. Though he might have spoke things in immaturity, we still decided to offer to him something that could relieve his financial pain. On the one hand, we fellowshipped with him on the need to trust the Lord, yet on the other hand, we also shepherded him by offering to him something. May the Lord shepherd him.

Today, we had a good time of ministry literature introduction to the teachers of the Bible seminary. They were very impressed by the truth. They promised to take the matter of placing order for the seminary to the Pricipal. The teacher we met happened to be a Punjabi translator and he instantly gave us some genuine feedbacks in the Punjabi translationof the ministry books. I believe, he could be a good Punjabi translator. Later, we met two more Pastors for the ministry introduction and distribution and also preached the gospel to the two staffs of the guest rooms we stayed last night. Then, we had our wonderful Mutton-Chicken meal, afterwhich, we winded up the distribution trip this time and boarded the train back to New Delhi.

And now I commit you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who have been sanctified. (Acts 20:32, RecVer)

Ministry Literature Journey to Roopnagar, Fatehgarh, Patiala, Rajpura

Roopnagar, Fatehgarh, Patiala, Rajpura

On day three, through the contact from Hoshiarpur, we came to meet a family of a Pastor who welcomed us with "heavy breakfast and lunch" in a Punjabi style. Physical, we were fed richly. We reciprocated by faithfully ministering the word, introducing and distributing the ministry literature to these ones.

Just in one home, a few Pastors from the nearby cities came to meet us. So we were able to cover the Pastors in different areas just in one place. In this way, the Lord made the distribution easier and faster. We did our best with what we could, the Lord did the rest.

One Pastor in Patiala was very impressive. Just by fellowshipping with him I could sense the experiences he must have been having with the Lord. Though we was from Jharkhand, the Lord blessed him among the Punjabis in the remote village of Patiala. Through his labor, he was able to build up faithful believers and it was visible when we visited him. Even the kind of questions he asked for clarification and his reaction towards buying the ministry books by first paying what he could and his promise to regularly pay off the books ordered proved his stability in the faith. This was the manifestation of his growth in life and maturity, unlike some others we met. The Lord remembered his heart's longing and He took us to meet with him. May the Lord bless him richly with the riches of His words even unto the recovery of His truth to him for His testimony.

And now I commit you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who have been sanctified. (Acts 20:32, RecVer)

Ministry Literature Journey to Barnala, Sangrur, Dhuri, Malerkotla

Malerkotla, Dhuri, Sangrur, and Barnala

On day three of the ministry literature journey too, we fellowshipped and prayed and set out for the day. As the Lord led us, we went to visit four cities and towns.

In Malerkotla, we were not able to meet any seeking Christians. So we ended up visiting the mainline churches, the Catholic and CNI. That too, we could not meet the priests as they were not available, but only the caretakers. We did not lose hope. We still left some copies of the ministry books for free distribution in Punjabi along with a ministry books catalog. We still believe, the Lord will gain His remnants even through the free books passed on to caretakers. We faithfully sowed the seeds and definitely, some seeds will fall on the good ground to bear remaining fruits one day. Only God knows how many books will fall into the hands of His remnants. And we trust in what God can do. Our labor will not be in vain. With this hope we do not lose heart.

In other cities, as we introduced the ministry literature, the Lord opened the hearts of the believers and the seeking ones purchased the ministry books and Recovery Version Bible.

In these journey, we spent a lot of time travelling long distance from city to city. Thanks to our local brother whose SUV we used for the ministry literature journey. It was a comfortable ride with ample time for fellowship among ourselves and also for prayer time. The travelling itself was a part of the distribution when we were blended. Praise the Lord for such a wonderful time of fellowship and blending along with the distribution of the ministry of the word.

And now I commit you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who have been sanctified. (Acts 20:32, RecVer)

Ministry Literature Journey to Hoshiarpur, Kapurthala, Phagwara, Jalandhar

As we are in the ministry literature journey in Punjab, we look to the Lord each where we should go and whom we should meet. On day two, after our morning nourishment and refreshment, we sat together to fellowship the plan for the day. As we looked at the map of Punjab, I had the leading within that we should also go to Hoshiarpur after visiting the cities planned for the day. Therefore, we set out for the spread of the ministry.

Jalandhar, Phagwara, Kapurthala, Hoshiarpur

In all these cities, we met the key Christian Pastors and seeking ones. As usual, we introduced the ministry literature to each one of them face to face. All appreciated the truth and readily received the free basic elements of the Christian life volumes in Punjabi. As we fellowshipped further on the title books, the genuine seeking ones placed order for the title books and Recovery Version Bible in English.

One note worthy seeking one was in Hoshiarpur. As we fellowshipped with him using the ministry literature and the notes in the Recovery Version Bible, he appreciated the truth so much so that he placed order for the entire set of English title books, both of WNee and WLee along with the Recovery Version Bible. His heart the Lord has opened to receive the ministry and us, and offered help to other cities we may wish to go. The Lord used his contacts for us to go to other cities in Punjab the following days.

Though this was our first visit to him we could sense that the Lord has prepared him for His testimony. We pray that he may read and enjoy the ministry literature and take the way of His recovery one day, even for His move in Punjab.

He also testified to us that only the word of God can make the believers grow and be built up. The present trend in Punjab of "healing, miracles, signs, wonders, and prosperity gospel" will lead nowhere. He confirmed that what Punjab needed the most is what we have been doing these days.

And now I commit you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who have been sanctified. (Acts 20:32, RecVer)

Ministry Literature Journey to Ludhiana

A week had just passed and a brother fellowshipped with me if I could go for the ministry literature distribution in Punjab. My innate and initial response was an absolute NO as I had just came back from USA trip and that I had many pending works. Besides, I felt it was too soon to travel again. However, I kept myself open to the Lord and to the fellowship of the Body.  I took the matter before the Lord in prayer and also in fellowship with the Body. Then, I became clear that I should go for this ministry journey no matter how busy I may be. I should not miss an opportunity the Lord gave me. So, self denial and taking the Lord’s leading in obedience was the way I choose willingly.

We arrived at Ludhiana where we based our ministry literature journey this time. A brother's house as the center, we went to different parts of Punjab.

Samrala and Mudiakala (Ludhiana and surrounding)

On day one, we went to Samrala and met a Pastor for the introduction and distribution of the ministry literature. Then, on our way back, we met another Pastor's family in Mudiakalan. Initially it was just the son that we introduced the ministry books to. Later, his father and mother who were the key leaders joined us. Then, I was led to introduce the ministry to the family as a whole using some crucial books including the Holy Bible Recovery Version. The Lord opened the mind of this family and they purchased the entire set of thw ministry books in Hindi along with the Recovery Version.

Since the family was so open, we spent more time to fellowship with them in a brotherly way. The father and son duo were good Punjabi singers and they both presented to us special Punjabi gospel songs. Then, we prayed together and left.

The next day, I received a message from the son informing that his mother had read the Punjabi booklet BXL and has started reading the Life-study of Ezekiel. Though thay have been influenced by pentecostal movement, I trust the Lord that the ministry of the word would open their eyes to see the vision of Christ and the church. As they expressed the need for the healthy teaching of the word in Punjab, I believe the Lord took us to them to meet their urgent need to be equipped with the word of God.

And now I commit you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who have been sanctified. (Acts 20:32, RecVer)

An Anointed Wedding

On the 12th of July, the church in Gurugram and New Delhi hosted a wedding and testimony meeting of one of the full-time serving brothers who is also the son of one of our brothers in the church life. This plan for marriage was conceived a couple of months ago. From the very beginning of its proposal, prayers have been made fervently by the church and the family. As far as I know, the brother and the family have testified that this was the perfect will of the Lord as they also have been praying and resolving in their hearts to only do the perfect will of the Lord and not settle with God’s permissive will. In fact, one day as I was travelling in a car, the sister was with me along with other saints. I had a time of fellowship with her concerning seeking and doing the perfect will of the Lord. At that time, deep within, I had the feeling that she should be matched with this brother. But I would not take the step but place that to other brothers. Later, when his father told me about this proposal, I just confirmed that I also had the same feeling about this match. This is just one evidence of confirmation from the Lord.

About a month after that, we had the engagement meeting in Hyderabad where the practical details of marriage were fellowshipped. Out of that fellowship, the wedding and testimony meeting was decided to be held in Gurugram, and it was this held last Saturday.

As strong and fervent prayers were offered by the saints in the church, and the family were fully and truly one with the fellowship in the Body, the Lord blessed the testimony meeting so much so that I even felt that this was the "best" wedding meeting I have ever attended, not "belittling others", but just stating the fact and feeling I have. I was very keen in my spirit and followed through all the items of the meeting. I just felt the anointing of the Lord was richly persent in all the practical details.

One solid confirmation is my own experience. As I was given the grace to minister the word in coordination with a brother, a few days before the wedding meeting, the Lord woke me up early morning. As I spent time with Him in prayer, He gave me five points to minister within the alloted time of ten minutes. Word by word, the Lord gave me the message to minster.

First, marriage is ordained by God for the fulfillment of God’s eternal purpose which is to have His expression through His many sons who came forth into being through the propagation and multiplication by marriage. Second, once married, the two shall become one flesh, and this oneness has to be maintained by the couple's oneness especially by praying together daily and fellowshipping and doing everything together in oneness. Third, by the divine love of God they must love one another. And fourth, marriage is for Christ and the church!
Bible Verses
Genesis 2:
18 And Jehovah God said, It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper as his counterpart.
22 And Jehovah God built the rib, which He had taken from the man, into a woman and brought her to the man.
23 And the man said, This time this is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; This one shall be called Woman because out of Man this one was taken.
24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and shall cleave to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

Ephesians 5:
25 Husbands, love your wives even as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her.
28 In the same way the husbands also ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his own wife loves himself.
29 For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, even as Christ also the church,
30 Because we are members of His Body. 31 For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother and shall be joined to his wife, and the two shall be one flesh.
32 This mystery is great, but I speak with regard to Christ and the church.
33 Nevertheless you also, each one of you, in the same way love your own wife as yourself; and the wife should fear her husband.

2 Tim. 3:1-2a But know this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self,…

Rom. 7:3 …but if the husband (Old man) dies, she is free from the law, so that she is not an adulteress, though she is joined to another man (Christ).
Rom. 7:4 So then, my brothers, you also have been made dead to the law through the body of Christ so that you might be joined to another, to Him who has been raised from the dead, that we might bear fruit to God.

Ruth 1:16 But Ruth said, Do not entreat me to leave you and turn away from following after you. For wherever you go, I will go, and wherever you dwell, I will dwell; and your people will be my people, and your God will be my God.

1 John 4:19 We love because He first loved us.

S. S. 7:11-12 Come, my beloved, let us go forth into the fields; Let us lodge in the villages. Let us rise up early for the vineyards; Let us see if the vine has budded, If the blossom is open, If the pomegranates are in bloom; There I will give you my love.

Rev. 14:4b …These are they who follow the Lamb wherever He may go. These were purchased from among men as firstfruits to God and to the Lamb.
The hosting, the hymn singing, the testimonies, the ministry of the word, the consecration of the couple, and the prayers of the brothers for the couples, all items were anointed by the Spirit richly. I personally felt the rich anointing of the Lord. This surely is from the Lord and has been blessed by the Lord. This surely was an anointed wedding and testimony meeting. Praise the Lord!

May the Lord bless the newly married couple and may their consecration to serve the Lord as a family be a blessing to the Body.

Father-Son Fellowship

Since the time my children were barely able to speak and read, my wife and I have taught them how read the Bible and pray. They simply followed and repeated whatever we read to them and prayed to the Lord Jesus. Almost on a daily basis, we would ask them to kneel down, fold their hands, and repeat after us in prayer. When they grew older, they learned how to read the Bible and pray by themselves. In this way, we have trained up our children to inculcate the habit of Bible reading and prayer. Then, gradually, we also helped them to open up and fellowship with us as parents concerning whatever matters they need to fellowship. They have been very open to their mother in this matter and with me, they fellowship urgent and important matters.

Now that my son has grown up, I personally arranged time for us to have intimate and personal fellowship. During this father-son fellowship, I poured out my heart's desire to my son concerning him; my prayer burden for him that he should established a strong, stable, and sweet personal relationship with the Lord Jesus directly and daily read the word of God which are my daily living. As an earthly father, I also fellowshipped with him my prayer and burden concerning his future; his studies, his attending the full-time training, his further studies even to the level of doctorate degree if the Lord would lead him, and to serve the Lord in whatever way the Lord would guide him. As he began to open up on some of his personal matters, I also looked to the Lord and fellowshipped with him what I felt before the Lord. Besides, some of my feelings concerning time scheduling for daily living, honoring the Lord with whatever He blessed him with and concerning material offerings. I also imparted the burden to take care of the Lord’s need by taking care of the church, the Lord’s work, and the needy saints.

These are just few things that I wanted my son to learn. My fellowship was based on what I have been learning from the Lord. Now, I am imparting the same to my son.

That said, I consecrated and commit my children, especially my son, to the Lord that they may become useful vessels to the Lord. How and what they will turn out to be  in the future, I do not know. That's all upto the Lord’s mercy. But to all that I do know, I must be a faithful shepherd to my son.

These days, I have been spending time in fellowship more often with my son. May the Lord lead him and guide him. My praye is that that I may be faithful to impart all that I have been learning from the Lord and not withhold anything good from him. I believe, as a father, I must do my best to raise him up, a new generation for the Lord’s testimony, and even to bring the Lord Jesus back!

Train up a child according to the way he should go; Even when he is old, he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6, RecVer)
