Online Church Life

Hebrews 10:24, 25
And let us consider one another so as to incite one another to love and good works, Not abandoning our own assembling together, as the custom with some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more as you see the day drawing near.

The nation has been in lockdown for a period of 21 days and extendable if needed. During this period we were requested to "stay home, stay safe." Only for the essential need, there is an exception. As the children of God and law-abiding citizens, we would submit ourselves to authority set up by God. Yet at the same time, we cannot sacrifice our Christian life and church life at any cost. Therefore, we made use of the technology at our disposal.

Now our church life has been fully online. With this trend, we become more busy engaging ourselves with one another online for fellowship, prayer, and truth pursuing. All those who used to be very busy with their works are now completely free at home. This is a good opportunity to shepherd them. That is exactly what as the church we have been doing, seizing the opportunity to shepherd the flock of God.

My time has much more been occupied in fellowship and prayer with a good number of brothers on a daily basis these days. The saints who were dormant for quite some time got revived and recovered. Now I have to consider how much I can really shepherd as I am limited too. Though in the world all busy activities were halted, yet within our home, we have been busier on virtual online church life. It turns out that the Lord is doing His revival works among many brothers and sisters.

The outward Coronavirus, unseen and unknown, has been creating a global disaster, yet inwardly, the spirits of the believers have been intensely exercised and are turning to the Lord. I believe, many unbelievers would definitely and desperately be crying out for help to their unknown gods and goddesses. Medical science, money might, social status, human wisdom, and whatever, name it, are all falling flat before an invisible mysterious virus. I pray for the stoppage of this virus spread, at the same time, more desperately I pray for the salvation of my countrymen in particular and the people of the world in general. God definitely does not want men to perish in their sins, He wants men to be saved and come to the full knowledge of the truth.
This is good and acceptable in the sight of our Savior God, Who desires all men to be saved and to come to the full knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:3,4
That their hearts would be softened and that they would seek for the true and living God and find God, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Now, in the church in Gurugram, we even started a DAILY ONLINE MEETING over Skype and many small groups online fellowship and prayer. This is perhaps, the good thing about this global pandemic. As I look at the statistic of the church, I could see a gradual increase in the number of saints meeting and functioning in the church life. Our goal as the church is to have two districts by June 2020 and a hundred regular saints by end of 2020. The Lord has been leading us to achieve this goal even in the first quarter of the year. Now we are meeting in three districts and the number of saints in the church life is heading for a hundred mark.

Come what may, the Lord has been very gracious to lead us through and through. Now our church life has been intensely on "let us consider one another so as to incite one another to love and good works, not abandoning our own assembling together."

Praise the Lord for the church life!

Pray With Them!

Always rejoice, Unceasingly pray, In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Thessalonians 5:16, 17
During these days of global pandemic and lockdown for 21 days in India, the entire country is locked literally into solidarity confinement. Perhaps, this is the first time in the history of India such a thing as this occurred.  For Christians, perhaps, these are the days for prayer and fellowship among family members. Though outwardly things seem tough, for the children of the Lord everything is under the Lord's sovereignty.

As for me, the Lord has been gracing me richly that I have not been troubled or bothered at all. Life goes on as usual. The Lord is so good to me that I don't even feel a pinch despite the global fear and anxiety spreading all over. Yes, I do care for the needy and those who are hit hurt by this pandemic, yet I have nothing to offer except to pray for them. Prayer has increased so much these days. This is one thing I feel good about the situation. In fact, this has been my prayer that the pandemic should not be wasted but it should turn people's heart to be softened and turned to the true and living God, the Lord Jesus Christ! For God did not desire people to perish in sin nor in a pandemic.
1 Timothy 2:3,4 This is good and acceptable in the sight of our Savior God, Who desires all men to be saved and to come to the full knowledge of the truth.
I have been praying for people for years, whomever the Lord has burdened me to pray for. Now the Lord is leading me to a higher realm of prayer. This is to pray with them. To pray for them does not require the people prayed to know about it, nor do I need their consent, I simply pray for them. Now the Lord is leading me to pray with them. Though I initiated some of them, others are initiated by them. I feel so good about this. Not only to pray for people but to also pray with them. This is much better.

Since this pandemic scare and lockdown, my phone and my time are heavily occupied. One after the other, prayer, online meetings and fellowship over the phone happens regularly. The new ones that were lost were suddenly brought back to life. The hardened ones suddenly become soft. The not-so-seeking ones become so seeking. I feel the church life is much more strengthened, of course,  virtually online. Sometimes, I marvel at the wisdom God exercised in allowing things to happen. He allows it, and He knows best, why.

Now I am engaged daily on praying with saints and fellowshipping with saints online. Amidst this pandemic, we still can experience the Lord's words with one another.
Always rejoice, unceasingly pray, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Thessalonians 5:16, 17

Ministry of the Word Literature Journey to West Bengal

Report: The Ministry of the Word Literature Journey
Asansol and Kolkata, West Bengal
13-20 March 2020
But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in the Christ and manifests the savor of the knowledge of Him through us in every place. 2 Corinthians 2:14

God Leads Us in Triumph
Amidst the pandemic Coronavirus scare gaining momentum in India, the Lord led us to visit a city, Asansol, for the first time with the ministry of the word. The door to this city was opened through a brother who just got saved and wanted to be baptized. He has been shepherded by his elder brother who is one of the brothers in the church in Gurugram. Once we sensed the Spirit’s move, we seized the opportunity to visit him immediately; firstly, for the baptism of the family who just believed into the Lord and secondly, for the introduction and spread of the ministry of the word to other believers in this new city.

Eight Believers Baptized!
The newly saved brother was a very staunch idol worshipper all his life until he met the Lord Jesus Christ by simply calling upon the name of the Lord Jesus who delivered his whole family from intense demonic attack and possession. The name of Jesus set the entire family free! Such dynamic salvation prompted them to take water baptism at the earliest possible. Once we were there, we ministered the truth concerning baptism and led the family along with other new believers into water baptism. Altogether, eight believers were baptized!

All Idols Torn!
Immediately after the water baptism, the brother threw away all the idols into the very river water he was baptized into. At his home where we were given hospitality, all the idols including those from Christianity were all removed. His wife, on the night of her baptism, saw in her dream that snakes that were crawling around in her home have left! She testified that she had been a worshipper of snakes for many years and always lived in fear with frequent demonic attacks, even demonic possession at times. Now she joyfully declared that the Lord Jesus has set her free forever! All snakes were gone, the Spirit has come!

Home Meeting and Group Meeting
Basic practices of a Christian life like calling upon the Lord’s name, pray-reading the word of God, family prayer and truth pursuing using Rhema books, Bible reading and study using the Holy Bible, Recovery Version with footnotes and listening to LSM Radio as an online aid started right away in their “new” home.
A weekly group meeting on the Lord’s day evening along with other new believers began in their “new” home too. A mini-library was also set up in their living room as the brother purchased the selected set of ministry books by Watchman Nee and Witness Lee.

"The Church in Asansol," West Bengal
A “pastor” who has left the denomination and is very burdened for evangelism was so captured by the truth we ministered to him and his family. As we ministered on Christ and the church, he testified that he and his wife got the answers for what they have been praying for, for years to know what the church according to the Bible is, and how to go on in their Christian life and service.
On the Lord’s day, he invited us to minster to three groups of believers under his shepherding. So far, he has been shepherding about 300 believers in and around Asansol. He even began to say that he and the believers are henceforth the “church in Asansol.” Of course, the Lord has to do a lot more of inward recovery among the believers there.

Pray for the full recovery of the believers, especially the leading brother and his wife, as they have now come into contact with the ministry and are pursuing the ministry books.

“The Church in Kolkata,” West Bengal
A brother who has been translating the ministry books into Bengali is now in Kolkata with the burden of raising up the Lord’s testimony one day. Besides his translation work, he is also in fellowship with a brother who is shepherding some 30 believers in his home.

This latter brother is a full-time tailor by profession but very burdened for the Lord’s work. He left the denomination he used to be in, and is now meeting at home with the believers he has brought to the Lord, calling themselves as “the church in Kolkata.” The basic element of a Christian life, translated into Bengali has been used to shepherd the believers there. Life Lesson, 4 volumes have been translated into Bengali already. These ministry books will serve as good shepherding materials for the seekers.

13 Years After!

In 2007, during the Gospel Move in India, a brother was contacted and gifted with The New Testament, Recovery Version which he has been reading since then. After the gospel move, due to shortage in follow-up, he was never contacted again. But this time, the moment we met he showed us the Recovery Version and exclaimed in joy that we are in fellowship again. This brother is a professional Bengali translator. He expressed his burden to translate the ministry books into Bengali.  May the Lord gain him for Bengali translation.

There are about 300 million Bengali speakers worldwide, approximately 228 million native speakers and another 37 million as second language speakers. Bengali is the fifth most-spoken native language and the seventh most spoken language by total number of speakers in the world.

Pray that the Lord will fully gain and perfect our two brothers for the Bengali translation service.

A Truth Seeker
In our January 2020 books exhibition at Bokaro, Jharkhand, a sister came and enquired for the best-translated version of the Bible from Hebrew and Greek to English. Then, we introduced the Recovery Version to her. She conveyed the message to a brother in Kolkata who contacted us again and again. This time we met him and introduced the Holy Bible, Recovery Version, face to face. His innate response was, “Brother, I need this Bible, whatever the cost!” He purchased 2 Holy Bible and 1 NT Recovery Version right away.

As we introduced the ministry books one by one, his appetite for the truth was so wet that he requested to purchase all the books in Hindi and selected set of books by Watchman Nee and Witness Lee. He testified that he stopped going to the denomination because there was nothing to feed on. He would rather stay at home on the Lord’s day, pray and do a “research on the Bible”, quoted verbatim.

He even tested our understating of the Bible and our practices in the church life. The answers we gave him excited him so much so that he exclaimed he must have finally found a group of Christians who actually follow the Bible in this age, which, he confessed, is very very rare and hard to find.
Now he has requested for a time of fellowship over the phone at least once a week, to fellowship on the truths in the Bible even as he has started reading the Recovery Version and the ministry books.

Pray that this brother would experience the Lord’s word in Psalms 43:3, “Send forth Your light and Your truth; they will lead me; they will bring me to Your holy mountain and to Your tabernacles.”

May the Lord richly bless the sowing of the divine seeds through the ministry of the word in West Bengal.

The Lord's Move to Kolkata, West Bengal

Decades have transpired since the brothers had visited Kolkata first with the ministry of the word. To date, the solid testimony of the Lord is yet to be established. Prayers have been offered and ministry book distribution has been done. Still, we are waiting for the timely manifestation of the Lord's remnant who could bear the Lord's testimony on the proper ground of oneness.

Two very significant developments in my visit are the gaining of one more translator of the ministry books into Bengali besides the strengthening of the existing one and the recovery of fellowshipping with a seeking brother who loves to study the word of God.

The Lord remembers the need for making the ministry of the word available to about 300 million Bengali speakers. In my visit to a brother, I was introduced to a professional Bengali translator who actually has met one of our brothers in 2007. Thank God, after thirteen years I could meet him again. This time, to seriously fellowship on Bengali translators. I believe the Lord will work in him and use him to bring out the ministry books into Bengali.

The way the Lord led me to meet a seeking brother is worth mentioning.  Two months ago during the ministry book distribution at Bokaro, a sister came and met me and took my name card. She then introduced me to a brother in Kolkata who called me for a Hebrew-English and Greek-English Bible. My reply to him was, introducing the Recovery Version of the Holy Bible. Meanwhile, I have been in touch with him on WhatsApp. This time in Kolkata we met in a local tea shop near his office building.

As soon as we met, I introduced the ministry books to him, then gifted him a Rhema set in English, then introduced the New Testament Recovery Version Bible which he immediately purchased. Later, I introduced a book on the church, The Orthodoxy of the Church, showing him the chart of the church from its first establishment in Acts to date and the different ages and kinds the church has passed through. I gifted him this book believing firmly that it will help him.

He was so impressed with the first meeting that he started opening up many of his understanding of the truths in the Bible. Besides, he also treated us with Bengali sweets, a traditional gesture of thanks and honor to a guest, and took us for lunch as well. He kept calling me since then. Meanwhile, I also introduced a few other books and offered him the whole selected set of ministry books which he eventually placed an order for even as he requested two copies of the Holy Bible Recovery Version. Now, we have agreed to call each other over the phone for fellowship and prayer at least once a week. I believe through such a fellowship the Lord would have His way in Kolkata for His testimony one day.

I also was introduced to a brother who is a full-time tailor operating a tailor shop. My first impression about him was so peaceful that the moment I met him and witnessed a good number of his customers visiting his shop, I saw his living testimony, working with his own hands and serving the Lord. He even raised up a group of believers in his own house. The peace and good feeling within me prompted me to buy a pant from this brother; stitched by him, as s a memorial and a testimony. Besides, it's been due for me to get myself a new formal pant. This brother then invited for a love-feast lunch before I left the city when I fellowshipped with the whole family about loving the Lord and serving the Lord. I pray that the Lord would gain such a good vessel for His testimony.

Lord, raise up Yoru testimony in Kolkata!

The Lord's Move to Asansol, West Bengal

But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in the Christ and manifests the savor of the knowledge of Him through us in every place. 2 Corinthians 2:14
God always leads us in triumph in the Christ through us in every place. The Lord has opened up the city of Asansol through a brother who is the younger brother of one of the brothers in the church in Gurugram. This brother experienced marvelous dynamic salvation and he became a channel of blessing to the people of Asansol and opened the door for the ministry of the word to the remnants reserved by the Lord.

After the baptism of this brother's family, a new meeting has been initiated in his home. A local Christian full-timer was introduced to us and he became another channel for the ministry to flow in the city. A week ago, on Saturday night we were invited to a local brother's home. I simply shared what the Spirit led me to minister on Christ and the church. That fellowship opened up their hearts. The brother testified that since he came to serve the Lord in the city, he has been laboring among the Gentiles. The number of new believers has been added day by day. Initially, he was with a Christian group which he left due to differences in teachings and practices, and now is partnering with an NGO for the gospel work. But he has been seeking to know what the church really is according to the Bible. Our simple fellowship from the Bible on the church clarified his queries.

The following day, on the Lord's day, we were invited to minister the word in three different meetings. Despite the coronavirus scare sweeping the entire country, the Lord led us in triumph and we could manifest the savor of the knowledge of Him.

I literally had no idea who these believers were. But as requested, I simply looked to the Lord and ministered the word. In the first meeting of around 50-70 people, the Lord lead me to minster on Who is Jesus? using Matthew 1:21,23 and Who is a Christian? using Acts 11:26; 26:28, 1 Pet. 4:16. In the next meeting, the Lord led me to speak on God is Love and Loving God using Deut. 10:12; Matthew 26:6-13; 1 John 4:7,8,16. And in the third meeting, the Lord led me to minister on feeding on the Lord in spiritual breathing(1 Thes. 5:17), drinking(John 4:13,14;7:37-39), and eating using John 6 word. The following day, the Lord led me further to minister on eating the Lord in a way of pray-reading wherein we all pray-read John 6:63 to the joy of all the saints.

Besides, I also could spend a good amount of time with the newly baptized brother and his family, helping them to read and enjoy the Bible with the footnotes, and also using the ministry books and online LSM Radio Life-study programs. I was greatly impressed at the positive and active response of the new family.

Having enjoyed a wonderful time of fellowship with the Lord's remnants in Asansol, I moved on to the next city, Kolkata. I could testify before the Lord that He has led us and we have sown the seed of the word of God to whomever the Lord wanted us to sow. Now, we leave the matter to God for the follow-up shepherding and pray that He would cause the growth of the new believers.

May the Lord continue to shepherd the seeking believers in Asansol and recover His testimony in Asansol soon!

All Idols Torn

The Result of Salvation: A Real Life Testimony
God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truthfulness. John 4:24
A newly saved and baptized brother threw away all the idols after his water baptism into the very same river he was baptized. He testified that the "gods and goddesses" he had been believing into since his childhood which he thought would bless them only brought curses to his family. He had consulted many pujaris and tantric and spent a lot of money for the peace of his family. Every effort he took only brought in more problems. After spending sleepless nights, worries, and depression, the Lord Jesus finally met him and his family through some Christian brothers and showed them an eternal solution, the salvation of the Lord Jesus Christ!

The Spirit's work in this brother's family was so strong that he dealt with all the idols in his house right away, no matter what their values were. He also removed all idols and astrology related rings, talismans, and necklaces from his body and from all the members of His family. He also removed photos, including Jesus' picture, cross image, and imaginative angels and religious photos from the walls of his rooms. He was so touched by John 4:24, God is Spirit, not idol nor photos of any religion nor cross, so much so that he tore down all idols including Christian idols of fake Jesus picture, cross, and angels.

While I was there, he took me to a welder shop to call a welder to remove all the iron carved and welded idol pictures and religious symbols from his house gate. He and his family are now so joyful that Light has finally come into their lives and their home. They love calling upon the name of the Lord Jesus over and over, again and again!

From Snakes to Spirit!

Home Meeting - the Word, the Spirit, and Prayer

In their home, a daily family prayer time, Bible reading and study of the Word with the help of the Holy Bible, Recovery Version with study notes and listening to the online Life-Study at www.lsmradio.com starting with the gospel of Mathew has just started. The whole family was so thankful to the Lord for their "miraculous" salvation.

A weekly meeting every Lord's day evening has also been started, with the other new believers.

May the Lord fully gain this family His testimony in Asansol!

Know God and Take Action!

But the people who know their God will show strength and take action. Daniel 11:32b
Strike While the Iron is Hot is a famous dictum. This involves timely action. It was a week ago that a brother came to fellowship with me regarding the present situation of his younger brother's family who has been going through a spiritual transition from a very staunch worshipper of idols to turning to the living God, the Lord Jesus Christ!

When the fact was narrated to me it took me no time to express my understanding of the Lord's move and His works among His chosen ones. I knew what God has been doing and therefore immediately called for action. I fellowshipped with him to strike the iron while it is hot by visiting his brother's family and be a witness to his family's baptism. On further fellowship it was clear that the Lord was moving at least in two aspects; the salvation of his brother's family and the recovery of his relationship with his own brother in the flesh to become his brother in the Lord. Having expressed my feeling I also encouraged him to pray and fellowship with his wife as all things must be done in fellowship and in oneness, especially with his wife. Though there may be financial difficulties as he has not been in a job for a while now, I encouraged him to trust the  Lord to supply all the needs. Therefore, he decided to check with his wife and his brother two things; the postponement o his brother's baptism so that he can be a witness, and the fellowship needed with his own wife. I offered myself to accompany him.

A few days after, the brother came back to fellowship on some practical matters. I also sense that if I were to accompany him I would also like to meet Christian leaders and introduce the ministry books to the believers in that city. The city is Asansol, a new city for the distribution of the ministry of the word. Through fellowship, the sky became clear and we made the travel itinerary. All tickets booked and leaving the rest to the Lord in prayer.

As we traveled together too, on the train we could have personal fellowship on some matters that cannot be openly fellowshipped with others. As the Lord led me I fellowshipped with him the matter of his marital issue of the past and how it must be set right for the Lord's testimony's sake. I also read a few portions from the ministry books to have a confirmation of what necessary things need to be done.

On the one hand, he is "striking while the iron is hot" concerning his brother's faith and their relationship, yet on the other hand, I am also "striking while the iron is hot" by rendering timely help to the brother himself, in his marital issues,  and his younger brother's matter with their family issues. Overall, the Lord is the one above all.

Our visit to Asansol was indeed a timely visit. His brother with his wife and elder son, along with the other five new believers took water baptism. For three days, I was fully engaged in fellowship with the believers and new believers there.  This is a wonderful testimony of following the Spirit's move and striking while the iron is hot.

In fact, I learned this lesson of discerning the Spirit's move and cooperating with it in a very subjective way in 2011 when a similar incident happened with my father. In fellowship, a brother helped me to learn the spiritual lesson. Therefore, we immediately went home and baptized my father. The same lesson that the Lord taught me through a brother I am rendering the same help to a brother in need.

Strike while the iron is hot; discern the Spirit's move and take action!

Coronavirus COVID-19

Coronavirus, is an end-time pestilence, according to the teaching of the Bible. According to WHO, Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus. The world may interpret it differently, but the word of God is plain and clear. For those who know God and His words, this pandemic creating havoc globally in every field of human life and threatening human sustenance and existence is no surprise at all. The Lord has spoken this 2000 years ago already.
And there will be great earthquakes, and in various places famines and pestilences; and there will be terrors and great signs from heaven. Luke 21:11
Perhaps, this is the first time the world has awakened to a massive threat by an invisible virus that mutates itself exponentially and spreads rapidly through the human chain. Countries like China, Spain, Italy, USA, Iran, and many more are facing the brunt of this tiny virus. Now, the heat is on in India too.

In fact, today India has woken up to a nationwide curfew named "Janta Curfew" by the honorable Prime Minister as a trial measure for future action in case of emergency. A good number of states and cities have been locked down beginning from today to stop or at least to limit the spread of this virus.

The word of God is so real and comforting,. Though the world panics, the faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His words are so strengthening at this juncture. I would not be careless in exposing myself to this spread, but I will rather pay close heed to all the safety advisory given by the government. I must abide by the law of the land and I must not put my trust in God to a trial. The Lord indeed commanded not to tempt Him. Yet at the same time, the Holy Spirt, the Comforter, is very real within me. The Lord knows my fate and my faith too. Therefore, the peace of Christ has been preserving me and my family all this while. To this extend, in fellowship with the brothers I am coordinating with in the church responsibility, we did make necessary changes in the practical church life. Though we pay heed to the saftety instructions, we still do not succumb to the enemy's tactic of clamping down our church life. Our church-life still goes on, via online techology.

Over a week ago the Lord has spoken to me concerning this pandemic. He revealed the promise in Psalm 91 in times like this. Halleluijah!

Psalms of Promises on the 12th of March 2020
91:3 For He will deliver You from the snare of the fowler, from the deadly pestilence.
91:5 You will not be afraid of the terror by night, or of the arrow that flies by day, or of the pestilence that walks in darkness, or of the destruction that lays waste at noon.
91:10  No evil will befall You, nor will any plague come near Your tent.
91:11  For He will give His angels charge concerning You to keep You in all Your ways.
This global pandemic is also a litmus test for faith in Christ and our practice of the church-life. especially when the government imposed public gathering for health's sake. therfore, there is a thin line between standing for the truth and also abiding by the law of the land.

The word of God has been our guiding light these days. No matter what, still we must not abandon our coming together.
Not abandoning our own assembling together, as the custom with some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more as you see the day drawing near. Hebrews 10:25
Yet we should also be subject to authority.
Let every person be subject to the authorities over him, for there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are ordained by God. So then he who resists the authority opposes God’s ordination, and those who oppose will receive judgment to themselves. Romans 13:1-2
Therefore, we do not abandon our coming together yet we also submit to the authority. In this way, our Christian life and church life has not been stopped, rather it intensifies all the more using the latest technology we have at our disposal today.

We still pray for the Lord to stop and limit the spread of this pestilence. At the same time we also pray that the purpose of allowing this virus to be also fulfilled in leading and showing people to know the true and living God Jesus Christ and also strengthen the faith of the believers.
John 4:42 And they said to the woman, It is no longer because of your speaking that we believe, for we ourselves have heard and know that this One is truly the Savior of the world.
1 John 4:14   And we have beheld and testify that the Father has sent the Son as the Savior of the world.
Save the world, Lord Jesus!

Righteousness

Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; Lovingkindness and truth go before Your face. Psalms 89:14  Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people. Proverbs 14:34
Righteousness is one of the divine attributes of God. The foundation of God's throne is righteousness. As the righteous One who redeemed us in His righteousness, I, as a redeemed one also need to live out the righteousness of God in my living.

For all the official works, I have been doing my best to make all things righteous, legal and proper. Especially, in my official function, I must ensure that whatever decision I make, is according to the righteousness fitting to a believer. Therefore, whenever I buy computers for official purposes, I make sure that all legal software was purchased along with it. Though I have to pay much more, still my conscience tells me to do so.

There is some very expensive software that can be gotten at a very cheap price from a local vendor. The trend in India is, many simply got a "cracked" version installed in their systems. I do confess that I did this in the past. But since the Lord touched me in this matter, I decided not to entertain any easy-cheap-improper software.

Now all the computers that have been purchased under my responsibility are all conforming to the righteousness deemed of a believer. Though I needed to shell out a higher price for doing this, still it is worth doing it, for conscience's sake at least. For the Bible translation service, we purchased very expensive software, legal licenses for all translators. Similarly for the typesetting and other editing software. Recently I was reminded of one particular software which is very very expensive. I used the trial version to finish designing Calendar 2020. Then I needed the software for other official works. The value of this software is similar to buying one new two-wheeler vehicle. This software could have been gotten only as cheap as rupees five hundred only, but I have to spend more than a hundred times to buy the legal license. Because of the high price I did struggle for quite some time. But the more I considered it, the more I became clear that I needed to pay the price to make this right. Therefore, I got the license and installed it in my system, with much peace.

In this way, so far, Windows 10, MS Office, BibleWorks, InDesign, CorelDraw etc., were all purchased at a high price. This is one lesson in the matter of righteousness. I am glad, the Lord has been gracing me to be able to maintain the decorum and sanctity of the official responsibility He has mercifully assigned me to.

May the righteousness of Christ be my righteosuness. I have no righteousness of my own. I simply take Christ as my righteousness.

Lesson on Gospel Preaching

Two weeks ago, after the prayer meeting of the church on Saturday afternoon, I decided to take a brother along with me to shepherd a brother who is very new in the Lord. I decided to use the gospel preaching time to shepherd a brother. And I had my preference of a brother to coordinate with. Though outwardly everything seemed to be fine, I did not follow the proper leading of the Lord through the leading of the spirit in the fellowship of the Body.

As we went to meet the new brother, first of all, we violated the proper practice of shepherding by being late to meet him. That itself killed the mood of shepherding. Secondly, we should have been preaching the gospel instead as the church has scheduled that time for gospel preaching. Thirdly, we did not exercise our spirit that we ended up speaking human words with human opinion. The result was obvious. There was no life supply and the new brother could not enjoy the shepherding, leave alone the enjoyment of the word. Everything seemed to turn upside down. I learned a very important spiritual lesson.

These mistakes from our side also exposed the true condition of the new ones we were shepherding. His faith itself was not very solid and stable. I could see his real condition in hi faith and I could also see what a shortage I have in my shepherding. His act definitely was condemnable as he compared and equalized Jesus Christ with other gods, and even questioned our authenticity. He has been at best misled or at worst poisoned by the right-wing philosophy concerning Christ. That was a big eye-opener for me. Oh, how much prayer I need to pray for him and his growth in life, and how much shepherding need to be rendered to him in a timely manner. What a lesson for me!

Thank you, Lord, for this wonderful spiritual lesson on shepherding and gospel preaching!

Seeing the Vision

Proverbs 29:18a  Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint;
Seeing the vision of the age is of utmost importance to follow the Lord and stay in the church life for the building up of the Body of Christ. Without such a vision, people may come to the church life in the Lord's recovery but such people will not last long. For them, it is just another Christian group. They must have like certain truths or certain saints or certain practices, but unless they see the vision of the age, the vision of the Body of Christ, the vision of God's economy, they may not stay long. Only the vision of God's economy can preserve us in the church life.

Save for this vision, any person, matter, or thing can easily distract people from leaving the church life. Without the vision, they will compare the saints and the church life with other Christian groups on many aspects, and based on their analysis they will decide on which one is better for them, even for spirituality's sake. I have witnessed a few cases like this int he past, and I am still witnessing today.

Believes who do not see the vision of the body will not last long in the church life. Due to their lack of vision, they will exercise their mind and even become biased in their openness to the saints and to the truths. By the Lord's mercy, I have been grace to see the vision of the age in 2003 after much prayer and study of the word. Once the vision is clear, there is nowhere else to go.
John 6:67-69 Jesus therefore said to the twelve, Do you also want to go away? Simon Peter answered Him, Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal life, and we have believed and have come to know that You are the Holy One of God.
Besides, once the vision is clear to a person, he or she will be very open to the ones who saw the vision. Till then, there will be a doubt on the teachings, practices, and the saints themselves. This matter is of utmost importance. To see this vision, the Lord only has to open the spiritual eyes of the people. It may come by teaching or revelation or vision, but it must be from the Lord. O how I pray that my fellow believers in Christ would all see the vision of God's economy revealed int he Bible especially through the epistles of Paul. This vision pertains to Christ and the church.

Concluding...

Acts 16:9, 10 And a vision appeared to Paul during the night: A certain man, a Macedonian, was standing and entreating him and saying, Come over into Macedonia and help us. And when he had seen the vision, we immediately endeavored to go forth into Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to announce the gospel to them.
The leading of the Lord needs a discernment. As we fellowshipped around these verses, I was very deeply impressed by the depth of the word of God. An elderly and spiritual brother helped us to dissect the word of God and discern what the will of the Lord is.

In this case, a vision appeared to Paul, "he had seen the vision" yet the word says, "we immediately endeavored to go forth." The transition from "he" to "we" confirms that though Paul had seent the vision individually, he must have brought into fellowship with the brothers. Perhaps, there was a thorough fellowship and prayer concerning the vision. And then they finally concluded in one accord.

What Paul had seen individually was concluded corporately by the brothers including Paul. Therefore, through fellowship, they concluded what the Lord wanted them to do. This is a marvelous principle in the New Testament concerning discerning the will of God.

This interpretation of the word is supported by the following verses.
1 Corinthians 14:14,15  For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful. What then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray also with the mind; I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing also with the mind.
In our spirit is the discernment of the will of God, and in our soul, especially in the renewed mind is the interpretation of the discernment in the spirit. The spirit of the believers is where the Spirit of God dwells. There, is the leading of the Lord in the spirit by the Spirit. This needs to be interpreted with the renewed mind. Therefore, the renewed mind concluded what the will of the Lord is. Praise the Lord such a fellowship on the word such as this.

This a lesson all the believers must learn in considering the word of God and concluding it. It involves the seeing spirit and the understanding renewed mind. Then follows, the obedient body that follows the Lord's leading.

Jehovah Remembers

Last Lord's day, a group of brothers came together to pray-read, pray, and fellowship with a visiting elder brother from abroad whose fellowship every time he visited has been very enlightening and life supplying. It was an honor and a blessing to "sit under his feet" and learn many lessons of life. The verses we pray-read seemed non-pray-readable, but as we actually pray-read the Lord's light shown on me and I was very supplied.
Zechariah 1:1In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, the word of Jehovah came to Zechariah the prophet, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo, saying,
First of all, there is the coming of the word of God. For any spiritual progress there must first be the coming of the word of God, the speaking of God, which is His exposing, enlightening, and leading. In fact, our coming together also brought in the word of God through the fellowship. What a blessing!

The one to whom the word of God came was Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo. The names of these three persons are very significant spiritually in meaning. Zechariah means, Jehovah remembers; Bechariah means Jehovah blesses, and Iddo means at the appointed time. Putting all the names together, the word of God to me is, at the appointed time the Lord remembers and blesses.

Now is the appointed time. All the happenings today proves all the more that the time appointed by the Lord has come. This time is for His blessing upon His chosen people. He remembers His people, therefore, He works in the environment to bless.

No matter what the situation of His children may be, He comes to bless. Though they may be in their low situation standing among the myrtle trees, Jehovah remembers and comes to bless. Hallelujah!
Zechariah 1:7-8On the twenty-fourth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Shebat, in the second year of Darius, the word of Jehovah came to Zechariah the prophet, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo, saying, I saw during the night, and behold, a man was riding upon a red horse; and He was standing among the myrtle trees that were in the bottoms; and behind Him there were red, reddish-brown, and white horses.
A note on myrtle from the Holy Bible, Recovery Version
These myrtle trees signify the humiliated yet precious people of Israel in their captivity. The redeeming Christ, as a man and as the Angel of Jehovah, the embodiment of the Triune God, was sent by God to be with the humiliated people of Israel in their captivity. Christ’s standing among the myrtle trees that were in the bottoms means that He remained strongly among the captured Israel in the lowest part of the valley in their humiliation. As the One on the red horse, Christ, the redeeming One, was Israel’s patron, ready to do anything for them swiftly in order to care for them in their captivity. Christ maintained Israel in their captivity that He might eventually be born into humanity through Israel to accomplish God’s eternal economy.
Our real situation was not only low, but even sinful. Therefore, the Lord came to redeem us first. Still, we were not fully pure for the Lord, so He further deals with us until we are fully made clean, pure, and complete. In His remembrance of us, He also redeems and transforms us from being red to reddish-brown to white. As such we are being recovered back fully to Him to be His people for His purpose in the earth.

A note on red from the Holy Bible, Recovery Version
The horses of three different colors indicate that Christ’s redemption (the red horse) leads the repentant Israel (the reddish-brown horses) to be justified and accepted by God swiftly (the white horses). This vision of the horses portrays the situation of Israel in their captivity. In the eyes of God, Christ the Redeemer was with them taking the lead, and they, God’s redeemed people, were following Him. Because they were God’s redeemed people, they appear at first sight as red horses. But because they were not pure, they are signified also by the reddish-brown horses (the color reddish-brown indicating a mixture). They need to contact God and to be dealt with by Him in order to gain God and be justified by Him and thus become those signified by the white horses. Once they repent, they will swiftly be accepted by God and justified by Him.
Then, Jehovah stretches forth His hands and recovers us to be His dwelling place, His house and His city. And He overflows His blessing all over gain. What a recovery, what a blessing!
Zechariah 1:16-17Therefore thus says Jehovah, I return to Jerusalem with compassions; My house will be built in it, declares Jehovah of hosts, and a measuring line will be stretched over Jerusalem. Cry out again, saying, Thus says Jehovah of hosts, My cities will again overflow with good, and Jehovah will again comfort Zion and will again choose Jerusalem.
This is the Lord's speaking to us and to me particularly. At the appointed time, Jehovah remembers and Jehovah blesses! Hallelujah!
